Artist Statement

The Ke­tubah sym­bol­izes two virtues, mixed to­geth­er on mul­ti­ple lev­els. The first is “En­twin­ing” of two lives to­geth­er, of your joint lives with Ju­daism; and the sec­ond is “Love” — your love of each oth­er, and your love of Ju­daism as well. The Love En­twined Ke­tubah brings these two sides to­geth­er, and does so with the im­agery of a tree–a tree en­ter­twin­ing the cy­cles of life to­geth­er, and build­ing out a lay­er for every year you spend together.

The Love En­twined Ke­tubah is per­fect for the cou­ple who wants a Ke­tubah that rep­re­sents all these var­i­ous lev­els, en­twined to­geth­er: the con­nect­ing of var­i­ous parts of your lives to­geth­er, from your­selves to Ju­daism to the im­age of the tree stand­ing strong, hold­ing it all together.

With this new de­signs you get both on the same pa­per, giv­ing your Ke­tubah that ex­tra touch that no oth­er Ke­tubah will have: your guests fin­ish­ing the art by im­print­ing the leaves with their own fingerprints!

This ke­tubah can on­ly be print­ed on pa­per (Verona or Hah­nemüle); we strong­ly rec­om­mend­ed the mount­ed Hah­nemüle to make it eas­i­er to move around and avoid get­ting it wrin­kled. You will need to buy a col­or pad; we’ll make some rec­om­men­da­tions so it’s quick and easy.
